The Scindia School
The Scindia School, situated on the hill fortress of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, is a residential school for boys. It was founded by the late Maharaja Madhavrao Jayaji Rao Scindia of Gwalior in 1897. Since then the school has grown in scale and scope of work and in reputation.
 
Facilities
Activities: School activities help students learn and practise skills that express themselves and their individuality. The school has made extensive arrangements that enable the students to learn different arts, crafts and sciences. This includes electronics, motor mechanics, photography, clay modelling, wood work, and metal work among others. Students are encouraged to play a wide variety of sports like tennis, squash and
swimming.Weekly debates, street plays, quizzes, cartoons, elocution, all go a long way to enable a student to develop his own expression.

Clay Modelling: The boys make clay models. They learn the process to prepare the clay required for models. They learn pottery on the potters wheel.

Painting: Art is an integral part of the Scindia School.From time immemorial it has been a media of expression of vibrant human emotions like love, lust, joy, grief, anger, etc. Words fail to express our thoughts in that effective manner in which any form of art can do. Art provides a broader perspective to the human mind.

Computer: The school web site is developed and maintained by the members of this society. The team consists of several boys working on HTML, PHP, Graphics, Java, Java Scripts, Database and other different parts of the web site.

Music:
They play orchestra thrice a week in the school assembly. They perform orchestra on special Astachals. The society also takes part in competitions and cultural meets.
