Founders & History
The Founders of this prestigious institution
are Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran, a banker for 30 years and Dr. Paul Dhinakaran,
a doctorate in Business Management and Managing Trustee of all the
Institutions of the Trust. They are internationally known as the expositors
of the Bible. They are well known around the globe for their heart
of compassion and for effectual intercessor prayers for the sick and
for the suffering. Their prayers have brought miraculous physical
healing and mental relief for suffering humanity irrespective of caste,
race, class, creed, religion and nationality. Each public prayer meeting
held in different parts of India attracts more than 4 lakhs people.
People around the world contact "Jesus Calls Prayer tower"
which is kept open for 24 hours a day with telephone facilities and
share their problem with prayer warriors trained by the founders themselves.
In the year 1981, Dr. Dhinakaran
was divinely inspired to build a learning center, an institution of
highest excellence, which could offer professional courses in engineering,
medicine and other subjects. Following their divine direction, in
1986 he founded "Karunya Institute of Technology" with the
sole aim of helping as many deserving youth as possible to qualify
themselves as engineers with a vision. This engineering college is
a fully residential for all nearly 3000 students and the staff. This
college enjoys the privilege of autonomous status, first of its kind
among the self-financing engineering colleges.
In 1991, a nursery school and primary school called "Evangeline
Matriculation School was started to cater to the educational need
of the children of Karunyanagar campus residents and the local residents
of Siruvani. In 1994, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran decided to start a Residential
International School with all infrastructure and facilities to enable
the young students to grow physically, mentally and spiritually as
a total person. This school will be a feeder school for admission
in Karunya Institute of Technology provided The student satisfies
the eligibility consideration regarding marks The student has studied
at least from 9th standard to 12th standard in KRIMHSS. Thus Karunya
offers a complete educational solution to ones educational needs right
from the elementary stage.
About the school
With the sprawling campus spread over
40 acres, the school is situated at the foothills of Western
Ghats surrounded by greenish mountains and gently breeze blowing
constantly, the school enjoys very good climate through out
the year. Our new academic building has as more 20 spacious
class rooms with good ventilation. Thus our classrooms keep
the atmosphere fresh and ideal for concentrated learning.
Young people today face increasing
pressure to compete for first position in academic and in careers.
Academic qualification alone are not sufficient to guarantee
success in the wider, competitive world. Maturity, confidence,
versatility, self-motivation are all qualities needed to achieve
the potential and reap life’s rewards. All of our students
are given sample opportunity to explore their potential talents
within a happy caring environment. Our school has well equipped
labs for all the science departments. The computer center has
20 Pentium Machines loaded with the latest software. Our school
also has tie up with NIIT, the IT giant for providing Educational
Software to our school curriculum.
Hostel
Hostel life in KRIMHSS aims to provide opportunities to develop
self confidence and personal responsibility. The school has
five dormitories for boys and 4 for girls. Each dormitory is
supervised by a resident staff who stays in the class room.
All the dormitories are shared by the peers of similar age.
The resident staff inside the dormitory will monitor the progress
of each student in every aspect. The dorm leaders and the assistant
leaders contribute to the organization of day to day to life
and to the care of all members in the dorm. These leaders help
the new comers to settle in, provide all necessary support along
with the resident staff.
The
food served at KRIMHSS is carefully chosen in order to satisfy
every student from different parts of the country. The menu
is changed for every month with the consultation from student
representatives from different levels. A separate committee
which has principal as the Chairman and other student representatives
will take care of the designing of the menu.
Residential Facilities
Residential facilities on campus include in-door games room,
badminton, tennis, basket ball, cricket and football. There
are challenging outdoor program arranged every second Saturday
which includes trekking, camping, extra.
To
help each student to lead a healthy life in KRIMHSS a resident
doctor visits our school everyday. Our school is privileged
to have a modern hospital with O.T, scan, dental care in the
campus. Apart from this a resident nurse who stay in the campus
monitor the medical needs of the students. In case of any major
treatments, our students will be taken to city hospitals by
our school vehicles.
Academics
An exciting all round education is the
first step in transforming potentiality into reality. The individual
personality of each and every student is honed and polished
to achieve a socially and personally beneficial life. Our young
people are mines of talents. Understanding this very essential
concept our school curriculum has been developed to bring the
most out of them.
Affiliation And Grades
Our school admits students from class
IV to IX and in XI. We do not admit students in X and XII. However
if the student is exceptionally good in studies the student
may be admitted provided he/ she could pass the specialized
entrance test based on the IX Std syllabus. Our school is affiliated
to Matriculation board for classes IV to X. The syllabus and
the classes are conducted according to the guidelines laid down
by the board of Matriculation Schools. Std XI and XII are affiliated
to Tamilnadu State Board. This course would enable the students
to get admitted in to the Engineering colleges in Tamilnadu.
According to admission rules in Tamilnadu for engineering colleges,
the student should have studied for four years in Tamilnadu
if the student is not a resident of Tamilnadu.

Method Of Teaching
The school has adopted innovative method of teaching. We believe that
to be a successful person in academics, one has to be good in collecting
information, logical documentation and presentations. We have a sophisticated
computer center with a lot of software and CD-ROMs available for different
subjects. Teachers are allowed to bring the students to the Multimedia
lab and conduct classes with the help of multimedia software. To make
this concept of teaching to be successful, we have trained all our
staff members in computers and in using multimedia. All the teachers
underwent a course in computers conducted by IT giants NIIT and INTEL.
Students are given assignment and projects to kindle the spirit of
learning. Our students with the help of our teachers created a lot
of working models to be used in classrooms.
Remedial Classes "
No one is a fool in this world and anyone can be trained to excel
in one or another" is our mantra. So we don’t stamp any
one as "unfit" to study but we would put in more efforts
to make them learn in a better way. To enable the academically weak
students to improve their performance, we conduct remedial classes
during non-academic hours. The eminent teachers from other educational
institutions are also invited to coach the students. A slip test is
conducted once in a week in a small portion and evaluated to check
the progress of the weak students. Apart from these remedial classes,
a supervised study is conducted in the academic building everyday
from 7.30 A.M. to 8.30 A.M., 7.00 P.M to 8.00 P.M. and from 8.30 PM
to 9.30 PM. Teachers would be available in the academic block according
to their roaster to help the children to do their home assignments.
Thus we take more efforts to help every one to excel in their studies.
Achievements
1. Our students Master. Nishant Lakhra and Lokes
Gowda represent our school in the state level Table Tennis in the
year 2005
2. Master. Deepan Raj and Master. Terrance Thomas have won the Governor
Award for Scouts in the year 2004-2005.
3. Master. Vinod Kumar Std XII, has won the President Award for Scout
in the year 2004-05.
4. Our School emerged as Runner in “Elite Circle” competitions
among 9000 students participated from 700 Schools from the state.
Our students demonstrated their skills in various competitions like
Essay writing, Drawing and Caption Writing
5. Master. Ruban Monu has scored Centum in Computer Science subject
in the Public Examination 2004.
