Shri K.Krishnaswamy Naidu Higher Secondary School
was established for boys in the year 1979, that the chairman of Sri
Varadaraja Textiles, the patronizing trust, Shri G.V.Duraiswamy Naidu
started the Tamil Medium School just with the student population of
75 and six staff members. His contribution to the society can not
be measured but can be only felt by the thousands who had the privilege
to be in touch with him.
The School was initially a High School aided by Govt of Tamilnadu
and upgraded to Higher Secondary School in the year 1985. The medium
of Instructions are both Tamil and English. The sitting president
of this School Mr.D.Varadarajan, Chief Director, Sri Varadaraja Textiles
Ltd, who has a vision in mind, a vision to secure the future of the
children of Coimbatore city by doing his bit. Mrs.Krishnaveni Varadarajan
is the Secretary of this institution. Among her many endeavours, one
is the establishment of KKNaidu Hr.Sec.School, which shines in the
education sector of Coimbatore city.

The School founding Headmaster,
Mr.C.R.Ramaseshan, who served in that capacity until his retirement
in 1986, as Headmaster emeritus, continues to serve the School
in an advisory role. The second and present Headmaster D.Narayanamoorthy,
leads the School through his excellent efforts to bring up
this School in all activities.
The School has various Clubs (Tamil Mandram,
Consumer Club, Eco club, Science Forum, National Green Corps, JRC)
which provide good opportunities to encourage the students to utilize
their creative energies and skills in various fields.
Regular Co-curricular activities like NCC, NSS, Scout are also organized
for the students benefit. Besides this, the students are exposed in
sports activities. The School also has an opulent Library with wide
range of books catering to the needs of every age group.
The building is designed with spacious class rooms. The computer lab
flaunt the latest Pentium processor systems with broad band internet
facility. The Physics, Chemistry and Biology Labs are well equipped
and spacious providing the students with an opportunity of learning
by doing.
The School also aims at equipping the students with the intellectual
and practical skills that are necessary to meet the inevitable challenges
in the future.

Sports : In Kho-Kho two times state level runner and
twenty times District winners.
3. NCC : 3 Cadets are awarded
with D.G NCC Scholarship, 6 Cadets are awarded Tamilnadu Government
Scholarship. Two Cadets are selected for R.D parade at NewDelhi.
4. NSS : Every year 10days camp
is organized by the N.S.S Officer in a hamlet
5. Scouts :This
program is started in 1980, 29 students were the recipients of Governor
award from year 2001-2005 and 20 students are selected for the President
award during the same period.
6. Others :
This School won the best Vocational Institutional award by NCERT in
the year 2001 for Auto Mechanic group.
7. Excursions :
Our School students are given the opportunities to take part in excursions
every year. A long and short tours are arranged for all kinds of pupil
to take part.
