The Center for
Image Management Studies was established to further the use of
image and perception as a tool for strategic management and to
be a center excellence in the field of media research, image management
and communications.
CIMS prides itself on being the only institution in South Asia to be
offering its participants, professional programs with specialization
in Image Management, Public Relations, Advertising and Journalism.
Currently functioning from its study centre at Delhi, CIMS own campus
is coming up in Sector 62, the institutional area of NOIDA, a satellite
township, east of Delhi. The Center is engaged in various activities
relating to media research, training, consulting and education. Its modern
structure contains the study center, a well-stocked library and a state-of-the-art
Computer Center.
An autonomous non-profit center, CiMS is a registered society with the
Govt. of India.
The Academic design at CiMS is unique in that equal emphasis is given
to the development of skills in General Management, Strategy Formulation,
Communications Skills, Business Environment Parameters and in Language.
In our professional programs, the average participant is exposed to inputs
in not only academic parameters, but also social and cultural aspects.
Team building is awarded a high priority, and participants are encouraged
to accept "familial" responsibility in an organizational setting.
Throughout the program, they are encouraged to take up a foreign language,
do a specialized course on case analysis, and develop literature appreciation
skills. The details of the programs are given in a separate chapter.
