The premier institution owes its existence to the liberal and generous donation by Atalatti Siddanagouda Patil and is named after him.

ASP College of Commerce is one of the only few Institutions dedicated to education exclusively in Commerce and its allied subjects - Management and Computer Applications.

Started way back in 1961, it is one amongst the oldest, but is intensively active in continued up-gradation and development. Especially with the recent trends in Globalization and renewed activities in GATT and WTO, the College itself has committed to keep pace with these trends. Thus the paradigm of educating our students is to make them outright professionals to squarely address the challenges of modern Commerce & Industry.

There are different programs to specialize in a particular field. The training programs are meticulously tailored to not only fully comply with the stipulations of the affiliating University and other Technical Regulatory Bodies, but also to give thorough and in depth knowledge in the disciplines themselves and to expose the students to the real and practical world of live commercial activities.

There are Consultancy Services through which the students themselves participate in providing solutions to Industry. A Placement Cell comes to the assistance in getting an opening for the student or more so in providing thoroughbred, professional man-power to the Industry itself.

To realize these goals the college has established state of the art infrastructure - in Laboratories, Libraries, Class rooms, Seminar Halls etc. The Faculty is highly trained, experienced and motivated.
