Government of Kerala as per G.O.(Rt.) 1763/81/Edn. Dated 26-08-2025 has accorded to start a Government college in Mananthavady, Wayanad district to the sponsoring committee (North Wayanad education society). Accordingly this college started functioning from September 1981 in a temporary shed attached to the Tonichal Church. Affiliation was granted by the university of calicut by the middle of 1983 the college was shifted to th e newly constructed permanent building with 8 rooms (by sponsoring committee)in a nearly land. The college was started with 2 batched of 80 students each in P.D.C. III and IV Group. Another building with 5 rooms was constructed under the N.R.E.P scheme B.Com with cost accounting as optional and B.A. English Literature were started in 1991-1992 and 1993-94 respectively. This young Institution has ample scope for great expansion and development
