The
L B S Centre for Science and Technology, a Govt. of Kerala Undertaking
was established in 1976 as an autonomous body for undertaking research
projects, consulting works and training schemes. At present, the
Centre has grown in to a mature establishment with Regional offices
at all district headquarters and many sub centres at different townships
through Kerala. L B S College Of Engineering, Kasaragod was established
by the Centre in 1993.
The Chairman of the Governing Body of the Centre is Hon'ble
Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri.A.K ANTONY and Vice Chairman, Hon'ble
Minister for Education and Works ,Sri.NALAKATHU SOOPY. The Chairman
of the Executive Committeeis Sri.Mohan das, IAS, Secretary, Higher
Education. Present Director of the centre is Dr.Sakunthala S. Pillai
