Mary Matha Arts and Science College of the Diocese of Mananthavady, started in October 1995, is the dream realized of the people of the district of Wayanad.

It was a long cherished desire of the settlers of Wayanad to have adequate infrastructural facilities for quality higher education. The diocese of Mananthavady, in an effort to realize the aspirations of the people, decided to start the college. The principal objective of Mary Matha Arts and Science College is to impart quality higher education to the children of tribal people and other rural natives of Wayanad, the most backward district in the educational arena of Kerala.The management, the Principal, the staff, the parents and the students are striving hard to achieve the motto of Mary Matha, “Education for Total Liberation”.
