Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram founded in 1960, is a unit of an educational complex at Pathanapuram instituted by His Grace the Late Most Rev. Marthoma Dionysius Metropolitan of the Orthodox Syrian Church. The Society of the Order of the Sacred Transfiguration Mount Tabor, Pathanapuram is the Educational Agency which runs the college. The college has nine teaching and nine non-teaching staff. The college has a well-equipped library. It is also running a hostel for ladies in the campus, which can accommodate 90 students.The college got first rank at the B.Ed Degree examinations in 1976, ‘89 and ‘96 and has instituted a number of prizes such as Dr. George Memorial Prize, the Mar Thoma Dionysius Prize etc.
