Sree Saraswathi Thyagaraja College (STC) standing majestic on the Pollachi-Palani main road with its imposing gothic structure is the brainchild and reality of the V.S.V Vidyaa Mandir charitable trust formed by the three great business and philanthropic families - Thiru P.M.Thiagarajan, Smt.T.Saraswathi, - Thiru M.K.Arumugam, Smt.A.Mahalakshmi and Thiru D.Sivaraman, Smt.Vasantham Sivam - reflecting their great concern for society and its upliftment through education. It is a co-educational and self financing institution affiliated to Bharathiar University and approved by the AICTE and UGC New Delhi and has been gloriously accredited with ISO 9001:2000 certification.

Ever since its inception in 1997, the management of the institution is ably looked after by the enterprising, dynamic and service minded business titans Thiru.T.Sethupati, Thiru M.A.Vijayamoghan and Thiru S.Venkkatesh who are respectively the sons of the founders of this institution and Thiru.M.Settu - the versatile Director and the member of the management committee - who steers the institution with the visionary outlook in the proper direction in its outward march towards excellence and perfection.
