Mother Teresa Womens University, Established in 1984. The School
of Distance Education of Mother Teresa Women's University was
started in 1988 at Kodaikanal. The University earns a distinctive
place in the higher education system as the only university exclusively
devoted to women's issues. The University was established in 1984
by the enactment of Tamil Nadu Act 15. As enunciated in the Act,
it is given the responsibility of monitoring, offering consultancy
services and research in the areas of Women's Studies. However,
to equip women to face the changing educational demand the University
offers various useful courses by distance mode.
Courses Offered: 2-year full-time MBA
Eligibility: Bachelor Degree (10+2+3
pattern) from this University or any other examination recognised
as equivalent thereto.
Selection Procedure: Selection is nade
on the based on the marks obtained in the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance
Test (TANCT) conducted by the Anna university on behalf of the
Government of Tamil Nadu, following the community wise reservation
as stipulated by the Government. The candidates from other State
except SC / ST candidates will be considered underadmission in
Mother Teresa Women's University shall appear for the Tamil Nadu
Common Entrance Test (TANCET) to be conducted during May.
