The Alpha Arts and Science College is sponsored
by the Alpha Educational Society. The Society, is a registered
non-profit educational society under the Society Registration Act,
1860.
Alpha Arts and Science College is part of the three and half decade old
Alpha Group of Institutions. The College is a private unaided, co-educational
Arts and Science College approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu and
affiliated to the University of Madras. The College, started in the year
1996 - 97 was upgraded as a Post Graduate Institution in the year 2001
- 02.
The College has highly qualified and experienced faculty and excellent
infrastructural facilities. The institution is attempting to create a
benchmark by incorporating new initiatives in the field of education
through its learning methodologies. Alpha Arts and Science College believes
that teaching is a key part of the learning process. The College is a
hub for dedicated, talented, experienced teachers who motivate and energise
students to achieve the best.
The laboratories designed with highly sophisticated equipments and instruments
provide ample opportunities to students for grasping practical knowledge
and implementing theoretical classroom learning in practice. Various
student clubs related to arts, science, sports and culture contribute
towards the enhancement of the co-curricular activities of the students.
The college in short span of 6 years has carved a niche for itself and
attracts students from all around India, in addition to foreign students
from Bangladesh, Kenya, Mauritius, Tibet, Bhutan, Nepal, Srilanka, Maldives,
Oman etc.
Though an institution of recent origin, the college is rich in it's quality
of activities and achievements. The primary aim of the institution is
to provide students a conducive learning environment, to help them to
develop their full academic potential and to equip them to face a highly
competitive world. The institution is also committed to character building
by imparting sound values in this formative and impressionable stage
of the student's development.
